On May 10th, Senate District 4 (Chambers, Galveston (1%), Harris (3%), Jefferson, and Montgomery (86%) counties) will go to the polls to decide on a state senator to complete the term in office for retiring Senator Tommy Williams (R). The candidates for this election include the following, those with a legislative track record are rated based on their record vote in addition to their returned candidate questionnaire shared between NRA and TSRA. The candidate rated AQ is rated solely on the returned questionnaire. All are considered to be "friendly" to the second amendment. TSRA PAC makes no endorsement for this Special Election.

Remember a candidate wins their party's primary when a candidate received more than 50% plus one of the votes cast. Several primary races, including statewide office, offered voters several candidates making it less likely for any one candidate to reach the 50% number.
